The Hoagland Family Cemetery is located in Gallatin County, Kentucky. It is 1/4 mile off Campbell Road which runs off St. Rt. 184 which is called Walnut Valley Road. Rt. 184 runs north and south between Ky 36 and US. 42 at the Markland Locks & Dam on the Ohio River 4 miles west of Warsaw.
This cemetery is on the old Joseph Satchwell farm. The Hoagland and Satchwell left Middlesex Co., New Jersey at the same time and were in Fayette County, Ky. around 1800. Some of the family came on to Gallatin, Co.
The cemetery is grown over with bushes and stands in a pasture. It was first copied by the late Dr. Carl Bogardus. He was a professionsl genealogist. It was visited by this researcher in 1995 and recopied. Some of the dates came from the Warsaw Independent News and the Gallatin County News, which will be referred to as WI and GCN.
