John marr. Elizabeth Ecard (1773-1848), dau. of Michael Ecard. His brother, Jacob Coblentz, married Elizabeth's sister, Catherine Ecard. They all moved to Ohio. John and family settled in Beaver Township, Columbiana (now Mahoning), Ohio in 1804. Children: Jacob Coblentz (1792 - 1871), John Coblentz (1794 - 1847), Daniel Coblentz (1797 - 1848), George Coblentz (1799 - 1879), Catharine Coblentz Elser (1802 - 1892), Elizabeth Coblentz Rapp (1806 - 1880), Barbara Coblentz (1811-1886); bur.
