Edmund F. Glover, 94, believed to be the oldest Marblehead resident, died early Monday morning at his home, 26 Vine street. He was the son of the late Edmund F. and Sarah (Hooper) Glover.
A native of this town, Mr. Glover was a retired shoemaker and a Grand Banks fisherman. He was the oldest member of the Red Men in the state, and was also a member of the Knights of Pythias, A.O.U.W. and Atlantic Lodge of Odd Fellows. He was a descendant of the brother of General Glover.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Walter Tenny of Boston; Mrs. Sally Munroe, Mrs. Alice Townsend and Mrs. Elizabeth Cooper, all of Marblehead; two sons, Edmund F. Jr. and Daniel Glover, both of Marblehead.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Eustis Funeral Home. Burial was in Waterside Cemetery.
Rev. Father Murray of St. Michael's Church, officiated.

Born in Marblehead, she was the daughter of the late Edmund F. Glover and Katherine (McGrath) Glover.
She was a member of the Parish Aid Society of St. Michael's Episcopal Church, Marblehead and the Marblehead Visiting Nurse Association.
Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Edmund G. Munroe of Marblehead; a daughter, Mrs. Priscilla M.Barr of Larchmont, N.Y.; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth O. Cooper and a brother, Edmund F. Glover, Jr., both of Marblehead and two grandchildren.
Services were held today at 2 p.m. in St. Michael's Episcopal Church, with burial in Waterside Cemetery.
