Catherine Hurley, wife of Jeremiah Noonan, had six sisters (one of whom came to Melrose) and a brother James, who married Mary [Sweeney]. James first lived in Sackville, then came to Melrose, purchasing land from his brother-in-law [i.e., either Jeremiah Noonan, husb. of Catherine, or a brother of Mary Sweeney, his wife]. [Note: Perhaps Michael Hurley, a sponsor for the baptism of Catherine's daughter Catherine, is related]2
